Builder is an COM based Add-In for the Visual Basic IDE that
encapsulates database functionality in class modules. The
ADO Data Class Builder can build an entire class module from
virtually any ODBC compliant database including Access 2000,
97 and SQL7.0, 2000. All properties relating to field names,
useful Recordset parameters including RecordCount and all
the methods required to ensure persistence once the object
is destroyed are encapsulated in the code.

The ADO Data Class Builder generates code that encapsulates
functionality of the ADO recordset object and includes methods
for navigating and querying the recordset.
In addition to the standard navigation methods of MoveFirst
and MoveLast etc. methods are included for loading and saving
records. The Load method retrieves a record and updates all
the properties in the object. The SaveChanges method will
update the current record in the database with any changes
made to the object. A useful IsDirty property indicating if
the object has been written to can be checked before issuing
this command.
The *template that has been used to build the code in the
ADO Data Class Builder is well tested and designed to give
